Release 20.1

iSalus Healthcare is excited to announce Release 20.1! We have been working extremely hard over the last few months on several key features that we know you will enjoy. When this Release 20.1 goes live on May 2, 2020, your practice can expect to benefit from the following below, among other improvements.

Payment Posting Overhaul

We have completely re-imagined how the entire payment posting process will work within our application. The process will now be more customized to your practice and will automate nearly every aspect of the payment life-cycle.  Here is a link to a quick overview that will help you understand how this new process will work at a high level.  You can also read about these updates here.

Credit Card Integration at Check-In

We have re-designed our Quick Pay window and integrated our credit card process into this screen.  Now, when checking a patient in or out, you can swipe or enter a patient’s credit card number and it will be processed automatically and the payment logged as a receipt in the billing system.  If you don’t currently take credit card payments directly through our application, click here to learn more or here to sign-up.

Telehealth Workflow Updates

We have made several enhancements to the application to streamline the process of conducting telehealth visits.  You can now designate an appointment as a telehealth visit which will change the patient experience in our patient portal.  Telehealth visits will provide instructions to the patient on how to download the application and what to expect at the time of a visit.  This update also creates a more seamless integration with our Intelligent Intake solution – allowing patients to complete templates, sign forms, make payments, and upload insurance cards all electronically.  With more care being delivered virtually, this will allow you to continue to collect crucial information from the patient prior to the visit. Not using the intake system yet? Learn more here.

CoverMyMeds Real-Time Benefit Checks

Now more than ever, patients are becoming more aware of the cost of prescriptions.  iSalus has partnered with CoverMyMeds to help shed some light on prescription costs in real-time.  With this integration in Release 20.1, we will be able to provide a highly accurate price estimate and potentially discount offers to patients at the time of prescribing.   This also lays the groundwork for our integration with their Prior Authorization system – stay on the lookout for this in a future release.

Security Enhancements And New Password Requirements

We are always working to improve the security of our application.  We spent a lot of time updating back-end processes to ensure they are even more secure to keep your data safe.  One major part of that security plan will be the enforcement of new password requirements for all users.  On the day of go-live, if your current password does not meet the policy, you will be forced to change it.  Feel free to update your password now – here is a link to learn how to do that. The new password must be at least 8 characters, have 1 numeric value, have 1 capital letter, 1 special character, and can’t match your old password.

Dialysis Note Workflow Update

For practices that document dialysis visits in OfficeEMR –  we have created a far more streamlined workflow for this process in order to eliminate unnecessary steps as well as make it easier to fax dialysis notes to the dialysis centers. Click here to learn more and feel free to reach out to our support team to see how you can set this up at your office.
