Kayla Jellison has been a Senior Medical Assistant in the HealthWatch division of iSalus Healthcare more than a little over a year now. She enjoys making relationships with her patients and knowing that they are also looking forward to talking to her every month. But there’s a whole lot more to Kayla than her job so here are more fun facts she shared with us:
Q. If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Texas!
Q. What sound or noise do you hate?
I hate Styrofoam, the sound of it drives me crazy. And cotton balls or the cotton they use at the dentist!
Q. If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be?
I would like to come back as a dog!
Q. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
I always enjoyed the peer tutoring class in school working with kids and teaching others, so I would love to be a teacher of some sort as well!
Q. What is your favorite pastime or hobby?
My husband and I enjoy anything that deals with the outdoors! Camping, hunting, fishing, drag racing and more!
Q. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Both! I enjoy getting up early and getting things started so I can still enjoy the day after my daily tasks. I also, though, enjoy the late-night grind being a small business owner outside of my regular job here!
Q. What was your favorite trip or vacation?
Myrtle beach always! This is my husband’s and my favorite spot! He grew up in myrtle beach every summer with family and we have continued to go back every chance we get!
Q. Are you a beach or mountain person?
Both! I love the beach for many reasons that come along with it, but I also enjoy a trip up in the Smokey Mountains.
Q. What is your favorite food or local place to go for a meal or treat?
Chick-fil-A all day, every day!
Q. Anything else we should know?
I run a small business outside of work. I run an Etsy page and more! My husband, dad and I build and sell cornhole boards. Then when I am not working on those, I make custom glitter tumblers!
Wow! A love for Texas, the outdoors and an entrepreneurial spirit makes for a lot of opportunity to have fun, work hard and… well, we’ll see what we can do about the Styrofoam, Kayla Jellison.
