iSALUS Healthcare is excited to announce their newest release coming on May 19th, 2017. This release will include many exciting updates such as improvements to Telehealth and Chronic Care Management, updates to MyMedicalLocker in addition to better functionality for Superbills. See below for detailed explanations. Please read the entire document as instructions for implementing the updates to your specific computer are included.
We’re thrilled that this release will also include the second generation of MyMedicalLocker. Available in both Apple App Store and Google Play, your patients will now be able to download a secure patient portal app that provides them with 24-hour access to their personal health information anywhere from their mobile phone. Patients will also enjoy the ability to submit appointment requests, keep track of upcoming appointments, securely communicate with your office when they have questions or concerns, and even securely view their bill straight from their MyMedicalLocker account. As a result, your practice will see increased patient engagement and a reduced burden on staff.
As with any new software product, there’s usually room for minor improvement. With this release, we’ve included a few updates to our new telehealth module so it runs as smoothly as possible meaning you and your patients experience a seamless telehealth visit each and every time. Located right inside OfficeEMR, you need only open your patient’s record to begin their telehealth visit. If you have not taken advantage of this new service or if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our office and we’ll be happy to speak to you about it.
Chronic Care Management
As chronic care management continues to become a bigger part of private practice, we continue to work hard at providing the best, most efficient outsourcing solution for our clients. With 2017 updates taking effect and the addition of complex billing codes, we’ve responded with the necessary updates to continue providing the consistent, quality service we always have to the providers we work with and the patients we serve.
Our mission to become browser agnostic is almost complete with the final testing stage happening as we speak. Once finalized, OfficeEMR users will be able to login to their account from either Chrome or Internet Explorer, whichever browser they are most comfortable using. Be looking in late June for the green light!
Don’t be confused if your superbill screen looks a little differently. We wanted to make your job a little easier by giving the referring provider and rendering provider a common search control. Now you can simply click on rendering or referring provider and search by name. Because of this new functionality, the location has changed a little. We just wanted to give you a heads up.
New Text Editor for Letters
There will be updates to your text editor (letters) that may make it look a little differently due to the requirements of the new browser functionality. It will work the same as it always did. We simply didn’t want you to be confused with the new look.
OfficeEMR for Android
Did you know that you can now access the OfficeEMR Mobile App on either an Android or Apple device? Just visit the Apple App Store or Google Play and download the app to your smartphone or tablet and you’ll have access to OfficeEMR wherever you go. We continue to be committed helping you be where you want to be.
Coming to Future Releases
In response to the tremendous changes taking place in healthcare with the start of the 2017 Performance Year under MACRA’s Quality Payment Program, we continue our commitment to help providers stay compliant. Not only will there be updates to the Meaningful Use Dashboard many of you have used to successfully attest in the past, we are also working diligently towards providing you a complete MACRA Dashboard before the end of 2017 to help you meet all requirements of the MIPS payment track as efficiently and successfully as possible.
