Cloud technology has been around for some time now and the healthcare industry has finally opened up to this industry in a big way. Cloud-based electronic health records’ use is finally spreading, and the ones who are now eagerly accepting this are the small practices. There are numerous Electronic Medical Record systems (EMR’s) on the market that offer a solution for many of the ambulatory practices in the United States. However, the vast majority of these EMR’s fall into one of two camps – they were either built for family practice/internal medicine providers or they were specifically built for a single specialty like pain management. Very few EMR vendors understand the nuances and necessary differences between the two worlds.
